Disappearing Nine Patch Baby Quilt

I'm waiting on photos of my finished Stepping Stones Quilt taken by a friend who is amateur photographer with her fabulous camera.  I the mean time here is one I took today with my phone.

Now I'm working on a Charity quilt.  

This is also a Disappearing Nine Patch.

The fabric was already chosen for me.  It will be fun when it's finished.

Finished

Finished the disappearing nine patch tonight.  That makes 2 quilts finished this week.  The Stepping Stones quilt is finished and pictures will be up soon.

I started a new quilt  project tonight 

Charity Quilt

I picked up a Ziploc of 8" squares from my guild meeting last Thursday.  There was a sticky with Disappearing Nine Patch written on it in the bag  and that was the only direction I had .  I know that these are for children so it will be bright and fun.  I managed to get them all sewn into nine patches tonight.  Can't wait to start cutting them up and to see how it turns out.  This has 60 different fabrics.

In The Bag

I know I posted one of these in my earlier posts but Ive been busy.  I just love these little bags.  They come in 3 sizes and are fun to make up.  The top opens nice and big so you can get to everything.  

I think they make great little gifts.

My daughter came home Saturday with a friend on her way home from a cruise.  So I made these up for her and her friend. I filled them with Easter basket grass, jelly beans and chocolate and told them the Easter Bunny came.   They loved them.  When are they too old for the Easter Bunny? 

These are for the girls I work with.  Ill let you know how they like them.  I let them pick out the fabric from a layer cake I had.  Since I was already making two it didn't take too much more time to make four.  I may have to put some bunny grass and chocolate in them.  

Your never too old for the Easter Bunny!!!

Easily Distracted Again

I have decided to hand stitch the binding on the quilt I just finished and since I don't like doing that ....I just learned how to make hexies. I happened to have the hexi punch In my scrapbook stuff. I never would have remembered that but it was mentioned in the tutorial.

I have 2 tutorials that I like and I will link them here.  First link and the second link I think they are both very good and I took a little from both of them.

I have so much help from Cubs. Finished quilting the border of Stepping Stones now sewing on the binding.
