Quilt Week Begins

Mom and I had our class today with Edyta Sitar.  We were all making a table runner called Greenhouse.  I learned so much from Edyta.  Her fusible applique technique was amazing.  Hope I can remember half of the tips she gave us when I get home.
She is as sweet as her quilts.

She showed me a new type of binding and I also learned how to do her crackle quilting.

Enjoy!

Super Quilter!!!

Look....Up in the air...It's Super Quilter

Eleanor Burns Quilt In A Day Class

What a fun class we had today with Eleanor Burns.
This was a highlight of our trip!!!
She is such a sweet lady.  She really acts just like she does on TV.

Teachers Pet

This was mine for the day.  What a pleasure.

We made the quilt called the Melon Patch out of her new book Quilts from El's Kitchen.  I only got one patch complete but it should go together quick when I get home.  Tomorrow we are making a table runner with Edyta Sitar.  I first heard about her when I saw her on a quilt show on TV.  Another busy day tomorrow.  ENJOY

We made it!!!!

Our hotel is actually in a town called Metropolis.  Its just over the river from Paducah in Illinois.
This statue is in front of the court house.

This place is amazing.  I'm sure we will visit a few times before we leave.

One of these are coming home with me.  I just can't decide which one???

Tomorrow we have our Eleanor Burns Quilt In A Day class.
I am looking forward to meeting her.

Pillows Finished!!!

I had just enough fabric left to make these two pillows.

I used the same pattern as the tablecloth except I made a envelope closure on the back.  And of course I made it much smaller.  It worked out just the way I wanted it to.
Love it when that happens!!!
Enjoy

Paducah Trip in 6 Days

Wow!!! It's almost time.
I have been checking the weather every day to see how to pack. It's been pretty nice 60's & 70's. This morning it said 36 degrees!!!

The best part is that my Mom is going with me.  We have an Eleanor Burns class together the day before it gets started. Then we are taking more classes at the show.  We are going to get so smart!!!
Can you tell I'm excited!!!
